What I'm more concerned about is the fact that passwords are being uploaded to Verizon and stored in cleartext. Given how prevalent password reuse is, a rouge employee, with relatively low-access, can use it to get into thousands of other accounts. Granted it is never a good idea to reuse a router password for any other websites but I'm sure it is done by many of Verizon's users.


Note it is impossible to make your My Verizon password as secure as your Router WPA2 passkeys.  Passkeys are 64 hex decimal characters or generated from passphrases that are up to 63 ascii characters (any "printable" ascii).
