Dont do anything at first. Once you enter the wifi password and get the "cannot connect" error message, walk away for 15 minutes. The Chromecast did connect to the router and it should automatically download an update, reboot itself and after the update it will work without changing any router settings at all. But if it still doesn't work disable IGMP on your router.
