"Keep in mind that MOCA 1.0 has a limit of 8 MOCA devices. This includes the primary router, VZ STBs, MOCA adapters, and routers used as MOCA bridges. MOCA 1.1 has a limit of 16 devices. The presence of any MOCA 1.0 devices causes your entire MOCA network to operate in MOCA 1.0 mode." - Anti-Phish

Ok, so based upon my layout diagram above, I'd have ...
- Vz Actiontec #MI424WR rev I PRIMARY router
- Vz Westell #9100em rev B SECONDARY router
- Vz Westell #9100em rev A SECONDARY router
- Vz Motorola QIP#7232-P2 HD DVR-STB
- Vz Motorola QIP#2500 SD STB
- Vz Motorola QIP#2500 SD STB
... that's only SIX devices right, the ONT doesn't count as one of the MoCA device's does it ?
Also IF a router is using both WiFi and the Ethernet hub connections on it does that still count as only ONE device ? or does switching on WiFi make it TWO MoCA devices ?
And IF in FUTURE I add an additional Room to the network ...
- Vz Motorola QIP-7232-P2 HD DVR-STB
- Actiontec #ECB3500T01 Home Theater Coax Network Adapter
... that would still only be 8 MoCA devices ? ... the various PC's, Printers, Gaming consoles, Smart HDTV's, BluRay Players and TiVo's, etc. do not count as MoCA devices right ? they are just connected via the ethernet ports and part of the Home Network.
Lastly ... how do I know if the device is MoCA 1.0, 1.1 or the newest MoCA 2.0 ? I assume most of the newer Verizon stuff is MoCA 1.1 but I'm having a hard time finding out if the older Moto QIP2500 STB's or Westell 9100em Router's are MoCA 1.0 or not ?
