goopy - Well the tech that came out is the one tech that does things outside of the box and listens about the issue. He has a couple of things he said he is going to try after talking to a few departments on Monday as he stated the the departments he needs are only working Monday thru Friday. I know he is pretty true to his word as he has been the only one that does do follow ups.

 

He know about this issue and is aware of the problems. He was very impressed with all the things I have done and I also told him about this thread and a few others. He just smiled and nodded about that and we went on with the rest of the discussion. He did a teardown and rebuild of the the circuit and also did a few other things that I wouldnt be able to do. He heavily documented the issue while he was in my kitchen also.

 

Once he has completed the things he wants to do I will update the thread to see if it worked or not. My next step is to use a router of my choice as the primary internet device and then put this crappy Actiontec router into bridge mode to support the MoCA equipment. Atleast this way my internet will not go down constantly (I hope) and this will still allow the DVR/STB devices to still not work which I thin is Verizon's master plan.

 

The IGMP trick did allow the router to not reboot for about 24 hours which is great, but it kills the ability to successfully use the MRDVR function which made my son mad as he wants to watch Iron Man 3 in his room since the other TVs in the house were being used by others. I had to enable IGMP again but so far the router hasn't rebooted again but it has only been about 22 hours so far since then. 

 

Through all of this I can still replicate the same issue with VOD, Fios WiFi apps on the android devices are reseting/rebooting the DVR/STB devices in the house.

 

The interesting thing with all of this, this weekend was the mention of the PON card I am connected to which could be a possible issue. The other piece of information I found out is this and take it with a grain of salt but could be when/where the issue began. If you have been a FiOS customer before the quantum rollout then the hardware and such for everything was/is a completey seperate system then quantum speed services. My issues didnt begin until after I was upgraded to quantum services. Which by the info above is a seperate system/solution. I am wondering if something in the configuration of the services or if a newer version/revision of hardware or completely different type of hardware is being used on the backend which is causing the issue.

 

Also one more thing! If you are getting the advertisement from Verzion about a new router which is new and improved with greater Wireless range/speed they are talking about the Rev I router. The funny thing is I have always had the Rev I router for a couple of years now. It has always been the Red band router and I have never had any other style router. But I never had an issue with this router until after the quantum speed upgrade and whatever changes were made around April of 2013.
