Verizon vs Netflix vs their customers...

I had a service call today due to issues with pixilation while using on demand and some of my other channels.  Some where unwatchable.

While the service tech was here I asked about my Netflix.  Why, recently, it's very slow to load and often loads during whatever I may be watching at the time.  I didn't have that problem when I first signed up with Verizon.

The tech told me that there is a lawsuit between Verizon and Netflix (Comcast is in on it too).  Apparently Netflix wants to use the broadband the Verizon customers are paying for.  Verizon says no, you have to pay too.  So, because they're having this disagreement, Verizon 'bottlenecks' Netflix causing problems streaming.  According to the tech it would cost the customers .75 cents to 'make it right'.

Instead they're having measuring contests and we, the customers are getting the short end on both ends.

Netflix will also be getting a call from me.  Neither Netflix nor Verizon are honoring their customers--who in fact PAY for services.

We should not be punished while one is trying to one up the other.

Ain't big business great.
