It is important to note that the speed of your connection is different from your signal strength. These problems have different causes and solutions.
If you are having an issue with the speed of your connection (as tested from a hard-wired PC), then you will most likely need to call Verizon and have them do some troubleshooting on your line.
If you are having an issue with the signal strength of your wireless connection, you will most likely need to change the channel your router is broadcasting on and/or relocate your router.
