I upgraded to the 75mb down plan and then realized a year later that my wifi router that Verizon provided was not even able to provide the wifi signal that my new faster speed allowed me to have. Their response I needed to PAY $100.00 to be able to use a service that I'm paying for? **bleep** I upgrade to give you more money but essentially you are charging me an upgrade tax to use the service. How is that even remotely fair?
Fios Quantum the new Fios box that allows you to record more than 2 tv shows at a time and play, rewind etc functionality to every tv in the home. Almost a $30 upgrade fee AND $10. more a month???? For functionality that other providers have had for years and it just part of their standard service. Verizon has the fastest internet but outside of that everything else just sucks. The interface for the tv guide/DVR is just absolutely horrible.
Now the cherry on the top...if you get a cable card to use TIVO you lose ON Demand? **bleep**!!!! THis is goes back to my main gripe this is a money grab strategy to keep you dependent on using Verizon equipment and highly unethical. I hope everyone can see the pattern...they strategize to not give their customers leading technology only to charge ridiculous prices.
I won't even get into how i've had 2 or 3 techs to my house and they can not solve the random freezing or pixelation.
When I move next year Verizon will not be moving with me. I give you one year or lose me forever.
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the reason tivo cant receive on demand is because the fios router cant feed the information to it.
The vms prices actually arent much different from other cable companies prices. For me they are actually a few dollars cheaper then the crappy Brighthouse whole house dvr's that they have here.
You also say "I give you one year". If you are that unhappy with service why in the world would you even stay with them when there's so many other options out there?
